For chair seats and backs where there is a groove around the edge of the seat and the cane is held in place by spline. When ordering pressed cane, add two inches to the length and width or diameter for proper sizing.

Tools needed include: spline chisel, 1 package of 5 caning wedges, HIDE glue, a sharp trimming knife and a small hammer.
